Construction Industry Joint Council (CIJC) has established detailed guidelines for the 2024 holiday year to ensure clarity and consistency in holiday entitlements and pay calculations for all members. This document covers annual industry entitlements, the holiday year schedule, procedures for taking holidays, and the methods for calculating holiday pay.

Annual Holiday Entitlement

Industry and Public/Bank Holidays The annual industry entitlement is 22 days, plus 8 public/bank holidays, making a total of 30 days. The holiday year runs from January 1st to December 31st. Days of the winter holiday falling into the next calendar year are taken from holidays earned in the previous year.
