This guidance outlines the upcoming withdrawal of CSCS Industry Accreditation (IA) cards, scheduled to expire on 31st December 2024, and the implications for construction businesses employing IA cardholders. Withdrawal Timeline and Renewal

All IA cards issued since 1st January 2020 will expire on 31st December 2024, with no option for renewal beyond this date. IA cards expiring before this deadline can be renewed but will only remain valid until 31st December 2024.

Reasons for Withdrawal

The decision to withdraw IA cards stems from directives by the Construction Leadership Council (CLC), aligning all CSCS cards with appropriate qualifications. This change aims to standardise industry skills and ensure cardholders possess requisite qualifications.
