Employment Affairs Group – February 2025

Welcome and Introductions

The Chair opened the meeting by welcoming all attendees. She emphasised the importance of the Employment Affairs Group (EAG) in addressing critical employment-related challenges facing the construction sector. Each participant introduced themselves.

Matters Arising

Sean Houlston provided an overview of the key actions from the last meeting and updates on progress. Regarding the Employment Rights Bill, feedback from members had been received, and further discussions on organising a roundtable were ongoing. On the CIJC Working Rule Agreement, additional member feedback had been gathered, and further discussions were scheduled for this meeting. CITB’s Accelerated Apprenticeships were reviewed, with recent updates shared with the group.
