Introduction

This guidance has been put together and will be added to because the Government is increasingly retrofitting our buildings, whilst increasing searching to making industry accountable for poor quality work. Therefore with 16.5million UK homes built before national Building Regulations, 12.5million with some level of traditional construction method, 7million without cavity walls and more than 2million homes in Conservation Areas, our retrofitting guidance will ensure NFB members have as much information as possible to win work, complete projects to the highest standard and ready your business for any future regulation the Government imposes to ensure bad practitioners are held to account.
