Introduction

The Construction Products Regulations 2013 were introduced to align UK law with EU standards on the marketing of construction products. 1. Title and Commencement: The regulations are formally cited as the Construction Products Regulations 2013 and came into force on 1st July 2013.

2. Interpretation and Definitions: The regulations define key terms and reference relevant EU regulations:

  • “The 2008 Regulation” refers to Regulation (EC) No 765/2008 on accreditation and market surveillance.
  • “The 2011 Regulation” refers to Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 on harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products.
