Webinar: CIOB Meeting Your PC and PD Competency Obligations
Overview
As of October 2023, anyone carrying out the new duty holder role of principal contractor (PC) and principal designer (PD) on construction projects must demonstrate competence.
For example:
• formal training (for example, to increase your knowledge about fire and structural safety)
• experience (for example, in identifying and managing building safety risks (fire and structural safety) in higher-risk buildings)
• knowledge (for example, the law and operational practices needed to plan, monitor, and control building safety in higher-risk buildings).
Showing compliance of PAS 8671, 8672 and 8673 can be done in several ways and in this webinar the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) will discuss their ‘CIOB Principal Contractor Competency Certification Scheme (PCCCS)’ and how it can be accessed and completed.
