The government is expected, within the spring statement, to tighten rules on payroll compliance and umbrella companies. We have umbrella-related expertise*; most onlookers believe the Chancellor will make some tax changes (to increase revenue) but it is all guess-work at this stage; while the government’s plans around enhanced employment rights are not new, the webinar is an opportunity to pose questions around:
- Day-1 rights (unfair dismissal; SSP; etc.).
- Flexible working requests.
- Zero-hour contracts.
- Fire and re-hire.
- Third-party harassment.
- We can also field questions around CIS, status compliance, IR35 and employment law.
